I took Humanities subjects in JC, and going to Social Science majors in NUS. I am concerned if there will be heavy STEM and Maths emphasis in the NUSC modules. If I am not strong in maths and science, will I be disadvantaged?

Hi CY! I’m Dawn, thank you for your question :) I’m in Year 2, studying English Literature+USP, and I took humanities subjects in JC like you!
I understand your concern of being disadvantaged when it comes to STEM elements in curriculum; I relate as I honestly had the same worry too. To answer your question, NUSC will indeed explore both STEM and humanities elements as part of our interdisciplinary direction; however there is no particular heavy emphasis on STEM over humanities. Personally, my experience has been generally positive, especially as all modules are designed to be entry-level in catering to students of all majors :) While I did personally struggle more in some of my STEM-related modules, I also really appreciated how interesting it was to learn from and alongside people of various disciplines, as well as the warm learning culture where my friends would help me (and I would help them for our humanities-related modules)! I hope this answers your question, feel free to clarify or ask us more! :)
